WWE have updated their Talent Wellness section to Talent Programs and Policies on their corporate website according to a report from PWInsider.com.
The report notes that the company have added a “Professional Development Summary” and a new policy where WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse or sexual assault and that upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be suspended immediately and upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be terminated from his/her contract immediately.
The report continues that WWE’s ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited to compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal miscondust is presented to WWE and that Section 9.13(a) of the WWE booking contract, commonly known as the “morals clause”, provides WWE with broad discretion and authority to act under such circumstances.
