TMZ has today released a video interview with WWE Superstar Darren Young revealing that he is homosexual. The Q&A with one half of the Prime Time Players was set up in an empty baggage claim area at LAX Airport on Wednesday, where Young was arriving for Summerslam.

Young states; “I’m a WWE Superstar and, to be honest with you, I’ll tell you right now, I’m gay, I’m happy.”  Young then continues, “To be honest with you, I don’t think it matters. Does it matter? Does it matter to you? Does it change what you think about me?”

Asked if this is his official announcement, Young responded; “I guess if you want to call it coming out, I really don’t know what to say it is.”

Young was then asked how the WWE locker room will respond; “To be honest with you, I’m happy with myself. Some people might not like it, some people will like it. But, it’s very important that I’m happy with myself. I’m hoping to be able to make a difference. It’s very important to me that someone’s sexual preference shouldn’t really matter. It should be about the person.”

Asked if this will change the way other wrestlers work with him in the ring, Young replied; “We’re all adults. All sports are physical. To be honest with you, when I come to work, I come to work. Business is business. I’m a WWE Superstar and I’m there to entertain the WWE Universe. That’s what my job is to do and I do it well.”
