WWE Studios will be co-financing and co-producing the upcoming “The Hive” movie with Troika Pictures which stars Halle Berry, this according to a report from Marc Graser of Variety.com.
The movie sees an emergency call center operator take a call from a teenage girl who has been kidnapped. WWE will promote the film through TV shows, digital media and prints assets. Sony Pictures will be distributing the movie, with Sierra Affinity handling the foreign pre-sales.
“The Hive” joins a long list of WWE Studios movies scheduled for release this year and in 2013 including The Marine: Homefront starring The Miz, Dead Man Down starring Colin Farrell and featuring an appearance from Wade Barrett, No One Lives starring Brodus Clay and Toronto Film Festival’s #1 movie “The Day”.
