According to a report from Marc Graser of Variety.com, WWE Studios has partnered with Kare Productions on an upcoming movie titled “Les Reines du Ring” (Queen of the Ring), which Warner Bros. Entertainment France will distribute.

The plot for the film sees a mother looking to strengthen her bond with her estranged son who is a WWE fan and trains to become one of the company’s Divas. The film will incorporate WWE trademarks, footage, consumer products and cameos from WWE superstars The Miz, CM Punk and Eve Torres. Jean-Marc Rudnicki will direct the film, with Thomas Langmann, best known for his production on The Artist doing the production alongside Antoine Rein and Fabrice Goldstein in the movie which also stars Nathalie Baye, Andre Dussollier and Marilou Berry.

As part of WWE Studios acquisition, the company will receive an in-association credit on the movie and the first-look rights to distribute it in the United States and Canada, as well as the rights to remake the film in English.
