In an interview earlier this week, Dan Lambert, the co-founder of the American Top Team MMA training camp, who is also an avid old-school professional wrestling championship belt collector, noted that the WWE recently contacted him for a major piece that he owns, the original WWWF Championship that was held by WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino.

Lambert didn’t specify when the company contacted him, but noted that he has added some new belts to his collection as part of the WWE deal. The belief is that the company wanted to heavily acquire the title held by Bruno Sammartino to showcase at WrestleMania 31 AXXESS before beginning work on a physical Hall of Fame building in the Orlando, Florida area.
