April 1st, 2012…..the same date as the WWE WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view that will feature John Cena taking on The Rock in the main event of the pay-per-view.

Sports Business Daily note that the company are telling potential partners that the WWE Network will launch on more than 40 million homes, putting them on the same playing field as Fuel and FOX Sports and that Comcast are working close with the WWE to help them clear cable and satellite systems due to the fact that Comcast own NBC/Universal.

There is talk of outside WWE programming to be discussed on the WWE Network as part of the programming aspect and most of WWE’s pay-per-view will migrate to the network, however it is not stated if that will be live or a repeat. Sucherman Consulting Group are working with the company to staff up to 200 people.

More details on the network launch are available in full at this link.
