Following a recent tweet by the official account of Power Slam Wrestling Magazine that former WWE Champion and ECW Champion and current TNA Wrestling star, Rob van Dam, was considering a return to the WWE following the expiration of his contract, both sides previously held discussions about a potential return.

Back in 2010 it was reported that RVD had signed a 2-year deal with the company, however whether any extension was added to his contract remains to be seen, however it should be noted that he WOULD be available for WrestleMania 28 on April 1st, providing no contract extension has been signed.

In other news, WWE have a keen interest in several other TNA names. In speaking with several sources, while no contract discussion has been made, WWE are monitoring the status of Matt Morgan and “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero, as they look to bolster their roster.

WWE are also interested yet again in acquiring Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, as they have been for a number of years, however sources have told me that both TNA Knockouts, better known during their time as The Beautiful People, are said to be comfortable in TNA Wrestling and wouldn’t feel happy going through WWE developmental before ending up on RAW or SmackDown.

It remains to be seen whether WWE follow up on their interest in the TNA Wrestling names, however many are expecting that RVD will be leaving the company and heading back to the WWE when his contract expires.
