– WWE Developmental Diva Skylar Moon (formerly known as Buggy Nova on the independent scene) took to her Twitter recently to respond to reports that she was admitted to a WWE-sponsored rehabilitation facility, by noting instead that the reason she hasn’t appeared on recent WWE NXT events, is due to the fact that she has an eating disorder. “For all the rumors and speculations, I do not have a drug problem, I have an eating disorder. Thank you all for the love and support!! I will b back stronger then ever 🙂 soon!!!!! I love you guys thanks for having my back. I’m not ashamed of my disease, i’m blessed to want to make myself better.”
– WWE officials are currently very high on WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro, feeling that he could help to make money for not only himself, but the company also, which may explain why he booked to go over Brodus Clay on Monday’s WWE RAW. Many also feel that the WWE are keeping Cesaro happy following the appointment of his girlfriend Sara del Rey as a developmental trainer, however it is unknown as to whether she will be appearing on WWE television at any stage.
– There are many within the WWE as of now unhappy with Edge’s decision to shy away from signing a WWE Legends deal, despite him working the recent WWE SmackDown tapings. The feeling from Edge’s side is that he doesn’t want to be locked into a WWE deal and wants to be able to do things on his own. Many also feel that Edge’s neck surgery is a reason behind Beth Phoenix’ rumored departure at the end of the month, when the WWE Divas Division is at its lowest in quite some time.
– A casting call for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming reality TV show “The Hero” is available at this link. The casting call notes that all applicants must have a passport and be willing to travel outside of the U.S. for a 2 ½ week adventure and compete for the prize of a lifetime.
– Independent women’s wrestler Mercedes KV recently reported to the WWE’s NXT/developmental territory as she has been doing ring announcing at recent NXT live events. In an interesting note, Mercedes KV is the niece of former WWE RAW Guest Star and popular rapper Snoop Dogg.
– Today is the 13th anniversary of Vince Russo & Ed Ferrara’s decision to jump ship from the World Wrestling Federation to World Championship Wrestling. Neither were under a written contract to the WWF at the time, allowing them to make the switch. At the time, the World Wrestling Federation issued the following statement, “Effective Sunday, October 3 at 9:45 pm ET, Vince Russo, one of the creative writers, will no longer be with the World Wrestling Federation. Russo abruptly resigned over the phone and will now be working for WCW.”
– In wrestling birthday’s, “Bullet” Bob Armstrong turns 73 today, while Danny Basham turns 35. Former WWE superstar John Morrison turns 33 today.
– WWE Tag Team The Uso’s (Jey & Jimmy Uso) posted a Tout following last night’s WWE tapings questioning whether they should align with Vickie Guerrero to help take them to the next level.
