In an update on the WWE Network royalty lawsuit filed by Buff Bagwell and Scott “Raven” Levy against the WWE, Judge Janet Hall denied the WWE’s request for Bagwell and Raven’s lawsuit to be rolled into the ongoing lawsuits, as in a one-page ruling, filed on October 11th, Judge Hall addressed the company’s assertion that the cases are related, writing, “the court determines that the cases are not related” and that “WWE’s request for transfer is therefore denied.”
Earlier this month, WWE were successful in transferring the second concussion lawsuit brought against them by James “Road Warrior Animal” Laurinaitis and more than 50 other plaintiffs to the Vito LoGrasso/Evan Singleton concussion lawsuits.
The company wanted to roll all three cases in the United States District Court of Connecticut over to the LoGrasso suit presided over by Judge Vanessa Bryant, however Judge Janet Hall determined that the WWE will have to defend itself seperately in the WWE Network suit filed by Bagwell.
A status conference call for Bagwell and Raven vs. WWE has been set for November 4th in a New Haven, Connecticut court room which Judge Janet Hall will preside over.
