In an interview with KFAN’s Extreme Pro Wrestling radio show, WWE Hall of Famer, Road Warrior Animal noted that he was contacted about appearing at tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view to compete in the Royal Rumble match, however noted that he was contacted too late and that there wasn’t enough time to sort out all the details, so he won’t be appearing in the match.

Animal noted that his son, St. Louis Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis alongside some of his teammates will be in attendance for the pay-per-view. Animal has been expected by some within the company to become involved in the storyline with his brother John Laurinaitis and that Warrior would be one of the 30 entrants into tonight’s Royal Rumble match, so it’ll be interesting to see if he is downplaying any speculation.
