Alan Wojcik sent along the following:
On Saturday October 19 UPROAR Pro Wrestling returned to Verizon Event Center, 8718 Trouble Creek Rd in New Port Richey, FL with NO TURNING BACK!
(1) Team Lucha (Jay Rios & Eddie Cruz) defeated Misled Youth (Jude McKenzie & Josh Rayne)
Last event Misled Youth attacked promoter Jaison Moore and somehow after negotiating with legal folks they were allowed to compete. Who better for UPROAR to book against them than the vastly popular Team Lucha! The match started with Misled Youth being kicked and punched all over the ring. Rayne took enough of a beating and tagged out to McKenzie who walked right into an armdrag. The action went to the floor where Misled Youth thought they stopped the action but Team Lucha hit double topes’. When the action came back to the ring Rayne hit Rios with a shoulder block which slowed things down. Misled Youth made several timely tags to keep the action in their side of the ring. But McKenzie missed an enziguri that allowed Cruz to finally tag in and hit McKenzie with a top rope headbutt for two. The four men fought in and out of the ring that ended with Rios hitting McKenzie with a springboard 450.
(2) “5 Star Superstar” Maxx Stardom of Heartbreak Enterprises (w/ “Superstar” Sean Davis) defeated London Vice.
This was Vice’s UPROAR debut as he usually is joined by the “Fashion Tsunami” Johnny Armani. Stardom was all business until vice broke out the break dancing. It made the fans cheer but made Davis turn bright red in the face. Vice made a tactical error by allowing Stardom & Davis distract the referee which allowed for several crotch shots on Vice. Stardom went to work on Vice’s head and neck by driving it into the canvas. Stardom went up top but took too long and Vice dropkicked him onto the post. They came off with a Vice delivered huricurana. Stardom was hit with a blockbuster but Davis dropped Stardom’s foot on the rope to break the count. Vice hit a powerslam and went to the top but Davis distracted the referee long enough for Michael Patrick to come out and toss Vice off. When Vice landed in the ring he was hit with a Code Breaker for the Stardom victory.
(3) JD Amazing defeated Shawn Prime.
This was a double UPROAR debut matchup. Early on both men tried to establish a power advantage which was briefly won by Amazing. Prime took a time out to the floor and returned possibly with a new game plan that was take Amazing to the mat but Amazing countered back to his feet and worked over Prime’s left arm. Prime had enough and raked Amazing’s eyes which only angered the big man who hit a clothesline and a leg lariat for two. Prime got in an eye rake that allowed him to lock in a cravat into a pin for two. Prime went for a chinlock submission but Amazing fought to his feet only to be slammed back down. Prime nearly had the win but Amazing got to his feet and hit several high impact move for two. Amazing got two off a running boot to the corner but was hit with a suplex for two by Prime. Amazing hit a powerslam for two and went up top missing a Frog Splash followed by a TKO from Prime for two. Prime went up top too and missed an elbow drop. Both men got to their feet and traded punches but it was Amazing who won with a lariat.
(4) Aaron Agony (w/the Man in Black & “Last Rockstar” Eddie Graves) defeated Shayne Swyft
Swyft started off hot as Graves went to the restroom leaving Agony on his own. Agony was tossed around by Lucha moves and landed in the Man in Black’s arms. So Swyft jumped onto both of them. But when the action came back to the ring it was all Agony for several minutes thanks to help from the Man in Black and some well timed high impact moves. Agony went up top but missed a Shooting Star Press. Swyft went up top but thanks to the Man in Black distracting the referee, Agony tossed powder into Swyft’s eyes. That allowed Agony to score the very cheaply earned win.
The following match was supposed to be Torcher taking on Michael Patrick of Heartbreak Enterprises. But Patrick claimed he was stomach sick and couldn’t compete. So he hired Leo Brian for the evening to take on Torcher.
(5) “Fire Breathing Monster” Torcher defeated Leo Brian.
Needless to say Brian was super nervous taking on a 300 pound star who ran right into Brian sending him to the floor. After a short time out, he decided to lock hands with Torcher in a test of strength that ended badly for Brian. Torcher released the hold and hit a corner splash followed by a headbutt for two. Torcher followed that with a Samoan Drop for two and readied for the splash but ran into Brian’s boot. Brian went for a clothesline but was hit with a Black Hole Slam. As soon as the three count happened, Patrick and Amazing jumped Torcher who was saved by London Vice.
(6) TECH Squad defeated Edward Malken & Joey Epix.
In the opening minutes the Squad used their speed to control the action. Once Malken could drown out the “shave your back” chants he was able to get control of the match for his team. The duo used some interesting tactics to take over on the Squad for several minutes. But the Squad made a timely tag and cleaned house! But Malken & Epix got into a heated exchange and Malken tossed Epix into a double team move that allowed the TECH Squad to win.
(7) Joshua Masters defeated “Last Rockstar” Eddie Graves (w/Man in Black & Aaron Agony)
Masters had his hands full with a full ringside entourage for Graves who jumped Masters at the bell. Masters fought back which led Agony to slide in and distract Masters. Masters chased Agony around ringside and thanks to the Man in Black was occupied long enough for Graves to jump Masters. The action finally came back to the ring where Graves went on the attack with help from his friends and referee distractions. The problem is nothing kept Masters pinned to the mat for three or got the tapout. Graves missed a top rope headbutt and that allowed Masters to fire up. Masters had the win but Agony and the Man in Black got the referee’s attention once more. Agony went to toss his powder in Masters’ face but Shayne Swyft stopped that. Masters won by a backslide pin but that didn’t matter as Swyft and Masters were laid out by a Man in Black super splash that shook the ring.
(8) “Death Proof” Aaron Epic defeated Oliver Cain.
Epic went right on the attack taking Cain down in a wristlock only to be countered into a facelock but he was countered into a boot to the ribs. Epic went back to the left arm trying to injure the shoulder joint. Epic had a hammerlock on Cain but Cain dropped down and used his momentum to drive Epic‘s face into the middle turnbuckle. Cain shot Epic out to the floor where he used the ropes to choke Epic. The action came back to the ring where Cain kept working on the neck area with submissions Epic ducked a corner move and hit Cain with a bodyshot sending him to the floor. But before Epic could hit a move, Cain slid back in and kicked Epic in the face. Both men fought to their feet but Epic took to the offense but Cain countered each move with one of his own. Cain went for a chokeout submission but Epic got to the ropes causing a break. Cain went for another submission but Epic countered into one of his own that Cain couldn’t escape from.
(9) “Irish Lionheart” CJ O’Doyle (w/Evan Starsmore) defeated “British Lion” Tommy Taylor.
The two international stars began trading insults and then wrestling moves. Taylor kept O’Doyle on the defensive despite Starsmore’s coaching from ringside. O’Doyle went for a dropkick but Taylor caught his legs dropping him to the mat and followed with a dropkick of his own. O’Doyle went to the top rope but Taylor hit a dropkick causing a crash landing. Taylor hit the ten corner punches and multiple inverted atomic drops making a donut pillow a necessary item for the drive home for Mr. O’Doyle. O’Doyle ended up on the floor and Taylor went to fly but Starsmore tripped him. Referee James Rubright saw it and ejected Starsmore from ringside instead of a DQ loss for O’Doyle. The action resumed as O’Doyle finally re-entered the ring and after a cheap shot took over on Taylor. O’Doyle worked over Taylor’s neck with chops and nerve holds. Taylor refused to submit and fought back taking O’Doyle down to the mat. Both men fought to their feet and O’Doyle hit a belly to belly suplex for two. Both men had corner moves in mind but it was O’Doyle who hit a superkick, too bac it was into the referee’s face! Taylor had O’Doyle pinned but the second referee stopped his count when fans realized it was Evan Starsmore! Starsmore and O’Doyle went to work on Taylor but when O’Doyle went for a running forearm he leveled Starsmore. The referee recovered to see Taylor roll up O’Doyle for two but didn’t see O’Doyle holding onto Starsmore and the ropes as he countered Taylor’s shoulders down.
