In an update on TNA Wrestling’s contract with Spike TV as was announced last week, a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com notes that the current deal was scheduled to expire in October of this year and that the new deal has been extended until October of 2014, effectively meaning that the company has signed a two-year contract with Spike TV.
Johnson notes that there are a lot of people within the company delighted that the deal was signed so early. The report also notes that the contract is specifically for Impact Wrestling and not additional programming, however should the right project come along, Spike TV would be interested in discussing the project. There was no talk of live TNA specials for the network or holding more Impact tapings on the road, however both of them are a possibility.
