In an update to the potential Cruiserweight-style show scheduled to air on the WWE Network in the fall, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com notes that the company are looking to acquire talents for the show in the spring or early summer.
According to several sources I have spoken to in the past few days, there is a big interest from the WWE in acquiring some Ring of Honor, Combat Zone Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE Wrestling talents, with the company also looking at talent working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in Mexico, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) in Japan and several european promotions.
There are a few people on WWE’s radar that they want to feature heavily on the show, with most people believing that the likes of Chris Hero, who has been in discussions with the company about joining, may be featured as one of the show’s top stars.
