In an interview with WorstPreviews, Sarah Coulter, the lead writer of Crossface, a movie documenting the tragic double murder suicide of Chris Benoit, his son Daniel and his wife Nancy in June 2007, noted that the movie will feature actors playing the roles of Eddie Guerrero, Triple H, Kurt Angle and other current and former WWE superstars. Coulter stated that there are a lot of unknowns about the weekend in June 2007 when the double murder suicide took place, which is why so many people have tried to fill in the blanks with conspiracy theories and it was Chris Benoit who was behind the murders, but the film will still touch on several of those theories.

Coulter also noted that there are several actors in consideration for the lead role as Chris Benoit in the movie and an official casting announcement is due soon. Regarding the movie Coulter noted that Benoit had a remarkable career, talking about his time in Japan and with Stu Hart and noted that on Benoit’s career you would need more than one movie to tell his entire story, however ultimately this movie is about the 2007 double murder suicide, so the company had to pick and choose the right moments in Chris Benoit’s career that may have been the factors in the downfall of his life. The film is tentatively scheduled for a 2013 release.
