In an update on WWE’s recent trademark filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the term “Def Rebel”, the WWE Music Group will be undergoing the change to the name as soon as next week, according to a report from ArenaTaping.
The report notes that through YouTube metadata, it has been revealed that Def Rebel will be the name of the new music group hired by the WWE, known as DJDTP, who have done at minimum, 40 theme songs for the company to date, one of which has been released being The Miz & John Morrison’s “diss-track” titled “Hey Hey” prior to WrestleMania.
The report adds that while they were not officially listed on the track, DJDTP produced the track, which was then released under the WWE, Miz & Morrison name, while through the aforementioned YouTube metadata, the next digital release is expected to be Seth Rollins’ new theme song, which he debuted at the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which has been titled “The Rising”.
