In an update on WWE Hall of Famer Edge, “The Rated R Superstar” is slated to let his contract with the WWE expire this Monday as the two sides have tried to work out a deal, however an agreement couldn’t be reached. The initial feeling was that Edge received a very low offer from the company which prompted them to bring him into last week’s RAW and have him appear on television as well as discuss terms of his contract. Edge is said to want to explore options outside of the company, whether he signs a new deal or not and is scheduled to appear at Resistance Pro Wrestling, the promotion headed up by Smashing Pumpkins’ singer Billy Corgan on May 11th in Chicago, Illinois. More information on that event is available at this link.
Meanwhile in an update on WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, the official Facebook account of independent wrestling promotion Live Pro Wrestling noted that Sunny no-showed their event on Thursday after having paid for her flight and half of her appearance fee and was replaced on short notice by “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas. Sytch has no-showed four scheduled booking since March including a WrestleReunion event in Toronto, Canada for American Icon Autographs, which prompted AIA to state that they had no intention of ever working with her again as it was the third time that she had no-showed an appearance for them.
