In an update on The Rock, Sting and Hulk Hogan working next year’s WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view, in the case of Sting and Hulk Hogan, while both are actively training, the decision whether to use them will depend on whether both can pass a physical, something WWE has clamped down hard on for names that are approaching 50 years old or older due to Ricky Steamboat’s health scare and Jerry Lawler’s heart attack live on RAW in recent years and a reason why Hogan’s physical activity has been limited.
In the case of The Rock, as we mentioned yesterday, the former WWE Champion has signed on to co-star in Central Intelligence alongside comedian Kevin Hart with filming kicking off in Spring 2015, around the time of WrestleMania 31 season. In addition to filming the movie, The Rock will also be heavily promoting the Furious 7 movie, which could really cancel any plans that the WWE had for The Rock to face off against Triple H at the pay-per-view.
The Rock worked WrestleMania 29 around his filming schedule, but ended up sustaining an injury which reduced his promotional schedule for the Pain & Gain movie and also caused him to miss the premiere of the movie.
