In an update on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa appearing on WWE NXT television, a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that their deals are reported to be structured in a similar nature to the original deal offered to Samoa Joe, in that they are contracted to work for the company, but do not train at the WWE Performance Center and can accept independent wrestling bookings on their off days.

The report notes that it is not known if there are limitations on where they can work beyond not appearing on taped content.
