In an update on WWE Hall of Famer John “Bradshaw” Layfield making recent appearances for TNA Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA, a report from PWInsider notes that Layfield is still under a WWE legends deal, so while the company can book him for appearances, he is also free to work for those above promotions as long as he is not using the JBL gimmick which WWE owns, with the company having no issues at this moment with Layfield’s appearances.

The report notes that this may be why he is being referred to as John Layfield and not John “Bradshaw” Layfield, while his character has a more darker-style look than the usual JBL character.
