In an update on Cody Rhodes’ new Stardust character, the gimmick is based on Dusty Rhodes’ old nickname that he used in the 70’s when he became a babyface in the Florida territory.

The tag team of Goldust & Stardust is not said to be a one-time only deal and the two are expected to work together moving forward as WWE are pushing for Cody to make the character his own and re-invent himself on the roster.
