In an update on former WWE Champion Chris Jericho’s current contractual status with the WWE, Jericho noted in an interview with Metal Injection on the red carpet of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards that his current run with the company will finish up before the WWE Summerslam pay-per-view event, due to the plans in store for his band Fozzy, as they plan on releasing new music at the end of August and will also be touring in various locations. Meanwhile in an update on Edge’s WWE contract status, a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com notes that the 2012 WWE Hall of Famer’s contract with the company is scheduled to expire on May 1st, leaving him a free agent to join any other promotion that he wished, however the expectation is that he will be signed to a WWE Legends Contract. The WrestleMania XXVIII DVD, featuring the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony in full, where Edge was inducted, is scheduled for release on May 8th.
