In an update to the announcement on Monday evening that the WWE had signed former Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champion, Chris Hero, to a developmental deal, the holdup on both sides was that Hero had a naturally elevated testosterone/epitestosterone level upon the first testing in late 2011 which worried WWE officials that they demanded a new test be conducted in the new year.
As per the new WWE standards of testing prospective signings, the company will not sign any individual who doesn’t pass a steroid screening, which is why additional testing was needed to prove Hero’s reading had dropped to a natural level.
