In an update on Batista’s WWE return, a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com notes that Batista won’t likely be returning to the company until at least 2015 as MARVEL are believe to be getting re-worked contracts done for all Guardians of the Galaxy stars that would allow MARVEL to use the names for multiple films going forward, meaning that Batista could appear in a cameo role in an upcoming MARVEL movie or appear in a spin-off film.

The report notes that Batista is expected figure prominently in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Avengers 3 which will climax all the storylines since the first Avengets film and that despite being frustrated before leaving for his MARVEL commitments, wants to return to have an official end to his WWE career on his own terms, which he has spoken publicly of in regards to him wanting to face Triple H in a WrestleMania-level match to close out his career.

Batista’s next movie role will be as Tong Po in an upcoming remake of the 1980’s movie “Kickboxer”, which originally starred Jean-Claude Van Damme.
