Tracy Williams vs. Griffin McCoy set for Saturday in Philly

Catchpoint grappler rumbles with 6’2? prospect at 2300 Arena

MLW have announced “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams vs. Griffin McCoy at the FUSION TV taping portion of MLW Slaughterhouse on Saturday, October 14 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

“Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams has been in intense training at the Catchpoint training center in Philadelphia readying for his next fight in MLW.

Coming off of an impressive showing in the 2023 Opera Cup, which saw the Brooklyn native go to the finals, Williams now looks to get a big win. A win, which could propel him into the mix for the National Openweight Championship.

The match is a part of the FUSION portion of the card.

Standing in his way is the debuting 23-year-old Griffin McCoy. Despite his young age, McCoy is a 7-year veteran, debuting in 2016. Impressing league scouts, the 6’2” San Franciscan has a vicious arsenal of suplexes and strikes.

McCoy’s goal is simple: a high-profile win against a dangerous grappler. To do so would surely cement a future in the league for the young prospect from California.
