Top UK independent women’s wrestler Nixon Newell, who reported to the WWE Performance Center back in May and was expected to be one of the top names announced for the WWE Mae Young Classic tournament, is scheduled to miss the upcoming tournament due to an ACL injury that will put her out of action for an extended amount of time, according to a report from Squared Circle Sirens.

The report notes that 22-year-old Newell underwent surgery on her knee at the end of June and will not be part of the tournament as a result.
