TOMOKA NAKAGAWA ADDED TO ALL APRIL EVENTS!
SHIMMER – WOMEN ATHLETES is proud announce the addition of TOMOKA NAKAGAWA to all of our April events! She will be a part of SHIMMER 53 on April 6th as part of WrestleCon at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ, as well as SHIMMER 54-57 on April 13th & 14th at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL!
Tomoka Nakagawa is one of the visiting joshi athletes who has seen the most ring time in SHIMMER thus far. She made her SHIMMER debut in early 2010 as part of the initial Joshi 4 Hope entourage, and immediately made an impression with an amazing match against rival Ayumi Kurihara. Nakagawa’s nefarious ways quickly caught everyone’s attention, including Daizee Haze. The two soon formed a tag team, and were able to briefly hold the SHIMMER Tag Team Championship, capturing the titles at SHIMMER 40 from Hiroyo Matsumoto & Misaki Ohata.
Nakagawa’s willingness to break rules, manipulate referees, spit water into the eyes of her opponents, and unleash a wide variety of devastating kicks have made her one of the most feared competitors on the roster.
Tomoka’s most recent tag team partner in SHIMMER competition is “Rate Tank” Kellie Skater. The two formed a friendship during one of Skater’s tours of Japan, resulting in the team known as the “Global Green Gangstas” or “3G.” They successfully entered the SHIMMER tag team ranks at SHIMMER 52, and intend to continue as a global (and green) tag team force during the month of April!

SHIMMER 53 will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (355 Plaza Drive) in Secaucus, NJ. Bell time for this afternoon event is 12pm (Noon).
Tickets are now on sale at http://www.wwnlive.com/wrestlecon for the SHIMMER 53 event. First through third row ringside seating is already sold out. Fourth row ringside is available at a cost of $35. General admission seating is also available, priced at $25. The event is suitable for all ages.
The SHIMMER 53 event will also be SHIMMER’s first www.WWNlive.com internet pay-per-view! The event will be streamed live as it happens to those who purchase it, and it will also be available for unlimited viewing on demand after the fact.
