The following results are from a recent TNA IMPACT Wrestling broadcast. The show took place on January 5th, 2016 at the Sands Casino Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and aired at 9pm Eastern on POP TV.
In Ring Segment
TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter opened the show holding the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and welcomed everyone to the debut of IMPACT Wrestling on POP TV, a place that is made for the fans. Dixie said that the TNA World Championship is one of the most important in the business, but was then interrupted by Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. Ethan said that this is a good time for a Carter family reunion, even though he did not get invited to the family holiday festivities and that this is a good time for an airing of grievances and his grievances basically boil down to having the TNA World Heavyweight Championship stolen from him and that Dixie robbed him at TNA Bound For Glory and she is the reason that he does not have the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and that the TNA World Title Series is not over until he wins and it will end tonight when he wins. Dixie told Ethan to take a look in the mirror at everything that he has done and what he has become and all of this is because of him and Matt Hardy won the title at TNA Bound For Glory, but he used lawyers to get his way. Matt Hardy came out and mocked Ethan for saying that everyone robbed him and said that the only people who got robbed were the fans when Ethan got his lawyers involved and that tonight, he will be the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion because that is his destiny and told Ethan not to blame Dixie, his brother Jeff or anyone else. Eric Young ran in and attacked Hardy from behind and then beatdown Hardy with Ethan and Tyrus until Bobby Lashley made the save. Hardy got back to his feet and brawled with Ethan Carter III before everyone spilled to the floor. Hardy and Young returned to the ring, before Hardy threw Young out to the floor and dived off the top rope clearing out everyone.

Ethan Carter III defeated Bobby Lashley to advance to the finals.
Backstage Segment
Bobby Roode was shown arriving at the building and said that he has never let a day go by without reminding people what he has accomplished here and that he issued an open challenge for a reason and anybody from any promotion can show up tonight to challenge him for his TNA King of the Mountain Championship and that he will show everyone tonight that it pays to be Roode.
In Ring Segment
Kurt Angle came to the ring as the fans chanted ‘Thank You Angle’, however Kurt said no and that they should be thanking themselves as due to them he has been in the spotlight for the last 20 years, he won an Olympic Gold Medal and 13 World Titles and he couldn’t have done it without the fans and it is an honor every time he walks through that curtain and every time he hears the roar of the crowd, he has to thank the fans for letting him live his dream. Kurt said that it is an exciting time for TNA Wrestling on their new home at POP TV and an important time for him because as he said publicly, he’s stepping down. The fans chanted one more match as Angle said that he has faced some of the greatest of all time and it is important to him to have the high caliber matches for his farewell tour and that is what he is going to do and he has thought about who he wants to wrestle and there is so much talent behind that curtain like the Wolves and the man that he personally picked to face him in next week’s main event, the man who will lead TNA Wrestling into the future, Drew Galloway. Drew came out and said that he needs a moment to let this sink in and wants to thank Angle for the honor of facing him on the farewell tour and that he has always fought for what he believes in, but this is beyond words and he is not going to let this slip away. Jessie Godderz came out and said that he is the real future of professional wrestling and he’s already been a TV star for 7 years and has the looks the women love. Eli Drake then interrupted and said now that the 3 of them have bored the audience to death, he sees a guy who is popular with 13 year old girls and has been living off his Big Brother fame, but when Kurt Angle forgot to mention Eli Drake as the future of wrestling, he realized that himself and Jessie could team up to wipe Kurt and Drew and called Drew a waste of space and told him to take a walk. Angle told Eli to shut up and said that since they’re live on POP TV, why don’t they have an impromptu match right here and now. Eli and Jessie entered the ring, however Kurt and Drew fought them off.

Matt Hardy defeated Eric Young to advance to the finals.
TNA King of the Mountain Championship Match
Bobby Roode (c) defeated Bram. Post-match, Eric Young attacked Roode, before Roode got the upperhand only for Bram and Young to put a 2-on-1 beatdown. James Storm came out through the crowd and attacked Bram and Young. James Storm got on the microphone and said that a few months back, people kept asking him why he left IMPACT Wrestling and said that he didn’t like where he was going and who he was portraying and his granny told him that it ain’t him and he decided that she was right because he’s a cowboy from Tennessee and he just was not having fun anymore. Storm said that he traveled the world and wrestled everywhere to figure out what he was going to do next, he was flipping channels and saw that he won the Biggest Disappointment Award and took exception to that because he gave TNA his everything for 13 years because this company didn’t make guys like James Storm, guys like James Storm made this company. Storm then turned his attention to Bobby Roode and said that they drank a lot of beer together and they made a lot of money, so it’s time to get back to having some fun, grabbed a beer and asked the fans if they want to have a little fun. Storm got a beer for Roode, who took the beer, said “Money” and drank it down as the old Beer Money theme song played.
6 Woman Tag Team Match
Gail Kim & The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne) defeated The Dollhouse (Rebel, Jade & Marti Bell). Post-match, Awesome Kong came out and teased that she was going to attack The Dollhouse, but then attacked The Beautiful People and hit an Implant Buster on Gail Kim.
In Ring Segment
Maria Kanellis came to the ring to introduce “The Miracle” Mike Bennett. Bennett got on the mic and said that wrestling used to be exciting and fun and it was even mainstream when he was a kid, but now it is loaded with washed-up guys claiming to be wrestlers and one washed-up guy named Matt Hardy is about to wrestle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, but that is not the moment that will save wrestling as that will be when Mike Bennett has the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in his hands and that is when the fans will witness their Miracle.
