WWE sent out the following:

Former German footballer Tim Wiese to team with Sheamus & Cesaro at WWE Live in Germany

One of the most hotly-anticipated WWE matches ever to take place in Germany has been confirmed for Munich on Thursday, 3 November, when football legend Tim Wiese teams up with WWE Superstars Cesaro & Sheamus against The Shining Stars & Bo Dallas in a Six-Man Tag Team Match at the Olympiahalle.

“It’s awesome to make my first WWE appearance in such a great match,” said Wiese. “I worked hard for this moment, and I can’t wait to step into the WWE ring together with Cesaro and Sheamus.”

Earlier this year, the 6-foot-4, 284-pound former German national team and Bundesliga goalkeeper was personally invited to train with WWE by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative.

Jumping at the opportunity, Wiese undertook an intensive training program to prepare for the match. In early September, he spent a week at the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, training with other NXT athletes in WWE’s developmental division under the guidance of the NXT coaching team, led by Head Coach Matt Bloom. Since then, Wiese has been working out daily in Cologne, at a training facility complete with a specially constructed ring.

“As a former elite professional athlete, Tim knows what it takes to focus on a goal and go all-out to achieve it,” said Levesque. “It will be a historic night for WWE in Germany when Tim steps into the ring alongside Cesaro and Sheamus.”

WWE Superstars set to appear at all four WWE Live events in Germany include WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day, United States Champion Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte and many more.*

WWE Live will appear at Festhalle, Frankfurt on Wednesday, 2 November; Olympiahalle, Munich on Thursday, 3 November; Koenig-Pilsner Arena, Oberhausen on Tuesday, 8 November; and Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin on Wednesday, 9 November. All events begin at 7 p.m. local time, and tickets are available at www.eventim.de.
