Takaaki Watanabe is signed to Appear
Wrestling fans around the world were shocked by the announcement that Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling will be running two joint shows in May of this year. The first will be “Global Wars” and will take place Saturday May 10th at the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Canada. The second will be “War of the Worlds” on Saturday May 17th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. New Japan’s top wrestlers will be making the trip overseas for these massive events. Over the next few weeks rohwrestling.com will be announcing the names of the New Japan stars that will be competing at these events.
Takaaki Watanabe
The former New Japan Dojo student made his pro wrestling debut with New Japan in 2011. The young 27 year old is currently on a tour in America in an effort to improve his skills all over the world. He will be proud to represent New Japan Pro Wrestling on both joint events with Ring of Honor.
After the announcement at #HONORCON that these two events were going to take place, Watanabe made his ROH debut in a special Ringside Exclusive matchup for rohwrestling.com to give the ROH audience a preview of what the New Japan stars have to offer. If you are a current Ringside Exclusive member you will be able to view this match on March 24th.
In that match, Watanabe took on three of ROH’s top stars; Silas Young, Matt Taven, and Caprice Coleman.
The fans are destined to see a great matchup, when Watanabe is in action. Don’t miss these huge ROH / New Japan events.
