WWE sent out the following: Samoa Joe stuns the NXT Universe by appearing at the NXT Arena to confront NXT Champion Kevin Owens after attacking Sami Zayn.

In an update on Samoa Joe appearing at the WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live special on the WWE Network, Joe has indeed signed a deal with the company, which was put together by Triple H and was worked out when Joe visited the last set of TV tapings. Former TNA Knockout Sarita (Sarah Stock) appeared at tonight’s WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live special on the WWE Network as one of Tyler Breeze’s models during his entrance. The other “models” used for Breeze’s entrance were recent WWE NXT signings Gionna Daddio, Dasha Kuret and Jasmine Areebi.

Former Ring of Honor and TNA Wrestling Champion Samoa Joe (under the same name) debuted at tonight’s WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live special after the Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn match. Joe came to the ring and had a face-to-face with Owens who retreated to the back.  

Stephanie McMahon, Neville and Zack Ryder are backstage at tonight’s WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live special. For those wondering, John Cena and Samoa Joe have not been seen at the arena and no one out of the ordinary is backstage at the event. Sami Zayn has been medically cleared to compete and will face Kevin Owens for the WWE NXT Championship at the WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable tomorrow night on the WWE Network. Triple H made the announcement regarding Zayn during today’s conference call.

Triple H will be hosting a conference call this Tuesday morning to promote the WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable live special on the WWE Network. The live special airs this Wednesday at 8pm Eastern.

While we are not able to confirm 100% as of writing, there are reports making the rounds that former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe has signed a two-year deal with the WWE and will be debuting at the end of WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable this Wednesday, live on the WWE Network.
