Trevor Lee defeated Sonjay Dutt in a Falls Count Anywhere match during last night’s GFW IMPACT television tapings to become the new GFW X-Division Champion. The victory begins Lee’s third reign as X-Division Champion.

In a post on his official Twitter account, Tyrus noted that he has been granted his release from Global Force Wrestling, wishing the roster and crew all the success for the future. The August 17th Destination X themed edition of GFW IMPACT on POP TV drew 320,000 viewers. The viewership is up from last week’s show which drew 277,000 viewers.

In an interview with his Jim Cornette Experience podcast co-host Brian Last following his return during last night’s Destination X themed edition of GFW IMPACT, Jim Cornette discussed his return and his role going forward for the company. Global Force Wrestling announced on their official website this afternoon that Bruce Prichard will be making an announcement regarding the GFW World Championship on this Thursday’s Destination X-themed edition of IMPACT. As noted recently on the website, the company stripped Alberto El Patron of the GFW World Championship.
