Two Veteran Promoters Join Forces to Form Unique Wrestling Promotion

Two former Floridians return to the Sunshine State after years away from the Florida indy wrestling scene, set to offer fans action like they haven’t seen in some time. Formed on April 20th, 2012 Sunbelt Championship Wrestling will be based in the destination city of Daytona Beach, FL.

Ron Niemi (IPW Hardcore, NWA Florida, Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup), and Chris Lash (APWF, Break The Barrier) bring separate but unique experiences and abilities to Florida. Niemi will handle all booking and talent relations, while Lash will bring enhanced production, merchandising and event skills adding to the look and feel at all Sunbelt Championship Shows.

Tag Team Wrestling in 2012 is often ignored by every other wrestling organization on TV. SCBW will focus on the rich hotbed of talented tag teams in Florida. At every SBCW show, you can count on 3 tag matches featuring a variety of styles and gimmicks! “Our first two shows, starting later this fall 2012, will feature an extended Tag Team Tournament, where no less than 8 to 10 of Florida’s best tag teams will be invited” said Lash. Its a Tag Team Tournament so big, that it takes TWO shows to crown the first champions!

And SCBW focuses on one other thing. The Sun Belt! This coveted belt will be worn by only the best singles wrestlers in the state! At SBCW we don’t care about World Titles, International Titles, US Titles etc. This is FLORIDA! The Sun Belt Champion will represent our state!
