WWE Studios’ movie “The Call”, which stars Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin and David Otunga has had a strong start on its opening weekend, ranking at #2 in Friday’s box-office estimates drawing an estimated $6.2 million ahead of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, which drew an estimated $3.7 million, however behind Oz The Great & Powerful, which remained in the #1 position.

The Call is expected to do an estimated $16.5 million over the weekend. Friday’s opening outdrew the entire weekend from WWE Studios’ other movie “Dead Man Down”, which was expected to do well, but bombed, drawing only $5.4m over the entire weekend of its opening and did not chart in this week’s estimates.
