Notable absentees from Raw’s 20th anniversary show Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels both took to Twitter today to explain why this missed the show. Both were booked for Shot Show in Las Vegas.

Stone Cold Tweeted: “Hitting the hay in Las Vegas… Hope Raw was a fun show. I was already booked here at the Shot Show in Vegas, as I am every year. #hunting.”

Michaels also Tweeted: “I was honest when I said I was in Las Vegas for SHOT show!”  A fan later asked HBK if some people do not understand that he can have a life and obligations outside of WWE, to which he replied: “I’m afraid some don’t.”

Both Michaels and Austin had been rumored to make a live appearance at the show.  Both were featured heavily in video packages, and Michaels did find the time to send WWE a Tweet during the 3-hour broadcast.
