Former WCW and TNA Wrestling Superstar Sting has signed a performers contract with the WWE, but there is no word yet as to how long his contract runs and what the details are, according to a report from PWInsider.com.
The report notes that Sting didn’t get the call from WWE to appear at the Survivor Series pay-per-view until the Thursday prior to the event and that he is not expected to work any WWE live events and will likely work very few TV tapings as part of the company’s plan with Sting will be to tease him a lot until he’s needed for a big event, such as the possibility of appearing at the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
There has been talk that Sting was originally scheduled to work one match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, but that there’s now the belief that he will be wrestling a few matches in the WWE before calling time on his in-ring career.
