TNA Wrestling superstar Sting was a recent guest of “Big Poppa in the Morning” on 97.9/105.5 KISS-FM where he discussed turning down the opportunity to appear at WWE WrestleMania, the prospect of facing The Undertaker and much more.
Regarding if he has had regrets over the years about never working for the WWE in his career, Sting noted that he is 50/50 on the situation as there ain’t many superstars who wouldn’t want to say that they’ve done at least one WrestleMania in their career and he isn’t going to lie in the interview, noting that he wishes he had appeared at WrestleMania at least once in his career. Sting noted that he had great conversations with Vince McMahon over the years and those have been really close on three or four different occasions, however there was always a need met or desire of his met with WCW or TNA Wrestling which made him decide to stay, before stating that last year him and the WWE were very, very close until talks stalled.
Sting noted that he was scheduled to face off against The Undertaker at WrestleMania if the deal went ahead and that The Undertaker is still the top opponent he would want to face in his career as he thinks wrestling fans have wanted to see Sting vs. The Undertaker for years as both gimmicks work so well and they could do some pretty cool things together.
