The following results are from a recent WWE SmackDown TV Taping. The taping took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena on November 22nd, 2011 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and will air on November 25th, 2011 at 8pm Eastern on the SyFy Network.
Opening Segment
Mark Henry came out to open the show in a leg cast and crutches and said that he may be hurt, he may still be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but he’s not a broken man and said it was The Big Show’s own fault for making Mark want to kick him in the groin at WWE Survivor Series. The Big Show came out and had a back and forth conversation with Henry, who told Show that he was a loser, before knocking him out with the WMD. Daniel Bryan then came out and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and pinned Mark Henry to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, however Teddy Long came out and informed Daniel Bryan that due to Mark Henry being unable to compete, the match was not official and the result will not stand, which means that Mark Henry is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Teddy Long returned the Money in the Bank briefcase to Daniel Bryan and announced that tonight’s main event will be a fatal-four-way match to determine the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship betweeen Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett and Randy Orton, with the winner facing Mark Henry on Tuesday’s LIVE WWE SmackDown.
Singles Match
Hunico defeated Justin Gabriel.
Tag Team Match
Beth Phoenix and Natalya defeated AJ and Kaitlyn.
Backstage Segment
Zack Ryder is in the back playing WWE ’12 when Sheamus walks in. Zack comments on his WWE United States Championship petition and tells Sheamus that he needs to get John Laurinaitis’ attention. Sheamus tells him to focus his attention on the tag team match later tonight. The camera then cuts to Teddy Long and Aksana backstage, with Long being booed heavily by the crowd. Mark Henry comes in and tells Long that he is unhappy that he has to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship next week, with the current injuries he has. Long says that next week’s title match will now be determined inside a Steel Cage, which enfuriates Henry even more so.
Tag Team Match
Zack Ryder and Sheamus defeated Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler.
Singles Match
Ted DiBiase defeated Heath Slater.
Fatal Four Way Match To Determine The #1 Contender To The WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan defeated Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett and Randy Orton to become the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Following the match, Cody Rhodes attacked Daniel Bryan, however Randy Orton came in and hit Rhodes with an RKO to end the show.
