The following results are from a recent WWE SmackDown TV Taping. The taping took place at the Omaha Century Link Center on January 31st, 2012 in Omaha, Nebraska and will air on February 3rd, 2012 at 8pm Eastern on the SyFy Network.
Opening Segment
Teddy Long came out to open the show and announced that Daniel Bryan would defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an Elimination Chamber match against Wade Barrett, The Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Mark Henry and Randy Orton, however Mark Henry came out and complained about his odds of winning the title in the Elimination Chamber and demanded a match tonight. Teddy says that Mark Henry is now out of the chamber, however he also doesn’t get a title match tonight. Henry grabs Teddy, however Teddy stops and tells Henry that he has been indefinitely suspended. Henry goes to attack Teddy however Sheamus comes out to make the save and hits Henry with a Brogue Kick. Teddy asks Sheamus what title he has decided to choose, to which Sheamus responds that he hasn’t decided yet, however Cody Rhodes interrupts before Sheamus can talk any further and reminds everyone that he did most of the work in the Royal Rumble eliminating people. Teddy announces Cody vs. Sheamus next.
Non Title Match
Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes.
Singles Match
Hunico (w/Camacho) vs. Justin Gabriel was declared a no contest due to interference from Cody Rhodes. Hunico and Camacho joined in on the assault until The Great Khali came out to make the save.
Backstage Segment
Drew McIntyre is in the back with Teddy Long, pleaing to be kept on SmackDown, however Santino Marella interrupts and says that he has a new tag team better than Santoshi, its Santin-Hooooooooo! as Hacksaw Jim Duggan appears on screen.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Primo and Epico (w/Rosa Mendes) defeated Santin-Hooo (Santino Marella and Hacksaw Jim Duggan).
In Ring Segment
Daniel Bryan came out to the ring and said that he is a role model, a vegan and that the crowd are terrible for eating meat, however The Big Show interrupts and tells Bryan that he just finished eating a thick juicy steak before coming out here. Show then chokeslams Bryan and attempts to do further damage, however AJ ran out and pleaded with The Big Show to stop.
Singles Match
“The Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay defeated Heath Slater. Following the match, Drew McIntyre attacked Brodus, but Brodus managed to turn the tables and hit his finisher on McIntyre.
Tag Team Match
Beth Phoenix and Natalya defeated Tamina and Aksana. Following this match, it was announced that The Great Khali would take the final spot in the Elimination Chamber match.
Singles Match
Randy Orton defeated Wade Barrett. Following the match, Daniel Bryan came out, with Teddy Long soon following and announcing that Daniel Bryan will face Orton next week on SmackDown.
