The following results are from a recent TNA Impact Wrestling TV Taping. The taping took place at the Impact Wrestling Zone on February 13th, 2012 in Orlando, Florida and will air on February 16th, 2012 at 9pm Eastern on Spike TV.
Opening Segment
Bobby Roode came out to open the show and requested that Christy Hemme reintroduces him as he’s still the World Champion following Against All Odds. Roode stated that he enjoyed the look on Sting’s face at the pay-per-view because Sting tried to screw him over and that Sting should be pointing the finger at himself. The crowd chanted for Sting, who came out to the ring and said that he let his anger affect the outcome of the Against All Odds pay-per-view and wants to make things right by having Roode defend his title against Jeff Hardy now!
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Bobby Roode (c) defeated Jeff Hardy. Kurt Angle interfered during the match, which allowed Roode to pick up the victory.
Number One Contender’s Match For The TNA World Heavyweight Championship
James Storm defeated Bully Ray to become the number one contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Following the match, Storm celebrated, however Bully Ray attacked him, New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs came out and got in Ray’s face, which prompted Ray to spit beer at him. Jacobs pushed Ray to the ground and had to be seperated by referees. Following this they retaped the ending of Hardy and Roode with Angle throwing Hardy into the ring steps.
Tag Team Match
Austin Aries and Zema Ion defeated Alex Shelley and Shannon Moore.
In Ring Segment
Madison Rayne came out prior to the Knockouts Battle Royal Match and talked about how generous Gail Kim was to allow everyone to have a chance to become the number one contender to her title.
10 Knockout Battle Royal Match
Madison Rayne defeated Velvet Sky, Sarita, Angelina Love, Tara, ODB, Mickie James, Rosita, Brooke Tessmacher and Winter to become the number one contender to the TNA Knockouts Championship.
In Ring Segment
Sting came out to the ring and said that he wanted to speak to Bobby Roode and says that a match of the year for Impact will be Roode against James Storm. Roode kicks Sting in the groin and puts Sting’s glasses on himself before hitting Sting with the glasses and putting them back on Sting.
In Ring Segment
Eric Bischoff, Gunner, Ric Flair and the former valet of Desmond Wolfe, Chelsea came to the ring with Bischoff mentioning that Gunner and Flair helped to end a chapter in Garett Bischoff’s life where he wanted to follow in his Dad’s footsteps and wants Flair and Gunner to have some champagne while he has something else to say. Eric says that Garett is probably in a hotel room watching this and that it is a waste of time for Garett to follow in his footsteps and that he’s not his father and that Garett can do whatever he wants but shouldn’t consider coming back into the business again.
