The following results are from a recent AEW Dynamite taping. The taping took place on August 21st, 2024 at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales.

Pre-Show Match (Non-Televised Match)
Michael Oku defeated Serpentico.

Singles Match
Chris Jericho defeated “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington. Post-match, HOOK came out to confront Chris Jericho, but was attacked from behind by Big Bill.

In Ring Segment
AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and Britt Baker came to the ring for a contract signing, with Tony Schiavone hosting the segment. Schiavone stated that both Moné and Baker agreed to no physicality during the segment. Moné stated that Britt Baker is the past, while she herself is the future. Baker stated that when she thinks of the past, she thinks of last year’s AEW All In when Mercedes hobbled into the stadium to watch her wrestle. Baker said that she agreed to the rules to not hit Moné, but that didn’t apply to Kamille, and hit her with the microphone, diving off the table onto her with a high cross. Moné and Kamille retreated as Baker held up the AEW TBS Championship.

AEW Women’s World Championship Match
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c) defeated Saraya. Post-match, Mariah May attacked Toni Storm.

Backstage Segment
“Hangman” Adam Page was interviewed backstage by Renee Paquette and revealed that he will be part of the Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW All In this Sunday. Evil Uno made an appearance and revealed that he will also be part of the Casino Gauntlet Match, which led to Page attacking him.

In Ring Segment
Will Ospreay and MJF came to the ring for a Face-To-Face segment, which led to things getting physical between the two, with security and officials including Christopher Daniels separating the two.

AEW Continental Championship Match
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli went to a time limit draw.

6 Man Tag Team Match
Darby Allin, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood defeated The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson & Jack Perry). Post-match, The Acclaimed came out and had a staredown with FTR.

In Ring Segment
AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson came to the ring, with Nigel McGuinness hosting the segment between the two. Swerve cut a promo, which led to him mentioning Danielson’s family, with Danielson attacking Swerve and asking the live crowd if they believe he can win this Sunday as “Yes!” chants ended the show.
