Former WWE NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov made an appearance during Wednesday’s WWE NXT tapings at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, appearing post-match in a staredown that included WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and JD McDonagh, following the #1 Contender’s Match between JD McDonagh and Tyler Bate, where McDonagh emerged victorious.

Dragunov vacated the WWE NXT UK Championship back on the July 7th episode of NXT UK stating that he had suffered an injury and as a result, was unable to defend the title.
