WWE confirmed during last night’s NXT tapings at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts that as a result of the match outcome between Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe, the WWE NXT Championship Match at NXT New Year’s Evil will now feature Williams defending the title against Oba Femi and Thorpe.

WWE NXT New Year’s Evil will take place on Tuesday, January 7th at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California and air live on The CW and internationally where available on Netflix.
