First Ever Mid-South Wrestling Legends Fanfest Announced for April 4th in New Orleans

New Orleans, LA – Today it was announced that for the first time ever many of the stars of the old Mid-South Wrestling organization will reunite at a fanfest on Friday April 4th in New Orleans. This event will feature a fan convention in the afternoon, an once-in-a-lifetime Q and A session with the stars, a Cajun style dinner and a wrestling event featuring the wrestling stars of today with the stars of the Mid-South Wrestling organization as honored guests. The Mid-South Legends Fanfest will take place in the Sigur Center in Chalmette, LA just six miles from the center of New Orleans.

The Sigur Center throughout the late 1970’s and 1980’s was the New Orleans home of Mid-South Wrestling. Such Mid-South stars as Danny Hodge, Bill Dundee, Bobby Eaton, The Rock and Roll Express, Mr. Wrestling 2, Porkchop Cash and Kamala have committed to attending this event. More stars will be announced later.

In addition to the many Mid-South Legends attending the event, Lance Hoyt versus Chris Masters and woman wrestling star Mickie James have been booked for the wrestling portion of the celebration of the history and nostalgia of Mid-South Wrestling. The wrestling event will be taped for a DVD that will be released later.

The Mid-South Legends Fanfest is being produced and promoted by Matt Riviera; President of Little Rock, AR based TCW Wrestling.

“As a native of the south and a wrestling fan, I have always been a student of the great history and tradition of Mid-South Wrestling,” said Riviera. “There has never been an event like this for Mid-South Wrestling, the first weekend in April in New Orleans is the perfect time for all of these wrestling fans to come together.”

Tickets for the event will be available after December 2nd online and at the Sigur Center Box Office during business hours. The Sigur Center is located at 8245 West Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette, LA 70043.
