New Japan Pro Wrestling star and current IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will be leaving the promotion at the end of this month, according to a report from Tokyo Sports in Japan.

Nakamura gave his notice to the company prior to the Wrestle Kingdom 10 event, with the initial thought among many that he would remain with New Japan for a few months before departing. It is expected that Nakamura will enter into a brief feud with Kenny Omega, the new leader of the Bullet Club faction and drop the IWGP Intercontinental Championship to Omega before departing.
