WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels took part in the pre-NXT Battleground media call today and discussed several topics, including WWE NXT Battleground and AEW Double or Nothing going head-to-head this Sunday night, plans for the launch of the WWE NXT Europe brand and more.

Michaels said that the move to put WWE NXT Battleground head-to-head with AEW Double or Nothing was not intentional, but that they wanted to showcase an event on Memorial Day weekend, and that with WWE Night of Champions happening on Saturday, it was seen as a good combo to have the WWE NXT Battleground event on the Sunday.

In regards to the WWE NXT Europe launch, Michaels said that he does not have any new updates as of now, but that the WWE wants to wait and let everything shake out, while his own focus has been on the daily schedule of the WWE NXT brand.
