According to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is said to be quite a bit of heat on WWE NXT talent Blue Pants (Leva Bates) as NXT talents are reportedly upset that Bates was brought in for WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, is not under a WWE NXT deal, is allowed to sell her own merchandise and does not have to give the WWE a cut of that money.

The report notes that because Bates is not under a normal WWE NXT deal, she does not have to go through the daily training at the WWE Performance Center and is still able to work the independent scene and that due to her presence on WWE NXT television, she has increased her fee for independent wrestling bookings, which has a lot of WWE NXT talents upset as she is making more money than they are.
