Former WWE Diva, Serena Deeb, is featured in a recent interview with Alfonso Castillo of NewsDay discussing her WWE experience, working with CM Punk, her recent concussion and other subjects.

Regarding her time in the WWE, Serena said that she really doesn’t know what was going on in their minds, during her time in the WWE and she thinks that original plans were there for her to eventually break out and become an in-ring competitor on a consistent basis, however the role she played on WWE television wasn’t part of what happened. Serena said that she believes she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and that it was definitely a lesson in patience and she had to know and trust that it was just not the right time in her professional wrestling career and that it was for a reason. Serena noted that she was very anxious to wrestle, noting that she always wanted to and the few opportunities she was given when on the road for WWE, she was ecstatic about.

On her time working with CM Punk, Serena noted that she could see that CM Punk believed in himself and the number one thing that leads to success in professional wrestling, is that belief in yourself and if you don’t believe in yourself, you’re going to get eaten alive in this business and eventually sink and Punk has done the opposite, because he’s always known how good and talented he is and never doubted it. Serena noted that Punk has always believed that he should be on top and that’s exactly where he deserves to be, noting that Punk has worked hard to get to where he is in the WWE today.

Serena also noted regarding her recent concussion, that she is worried about how she is suddenly being put in the position where it’s not in her control and where her body is potentially not going to last as long as she wanted it to and as long as she idealized it lasting.
