The search for former WWE superstar Shad Gaspard was scaled back as of 8:32am Pacific Time, according to a report from TMZ via the U.S. Coast Guard.
The report notes that there was at least one boat still searching for Gaspard this morning, but that it has become clear that the chances of finding him are fading fast and while the case will not be closed until officials have found the missing person, efforts have been drastically scaled back.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued to TMZ this morning, the family noted that they are still hoping and praying for his safe return writing, “We would like to express our gratitude to the first responders who rescued Aryeh and to the lifeguards, coastguard, divers, fire and police departments for their continued efforts to help find our beloved Shad. Shad is a fighter, a warrior and a magical soul. We are hoping and praying for his safe return. As a family, we thank you all for your concern and well wishes. Please continue to keep sending your positivity and prayers to our beloved Shad.”
