In a recent interview with Total Wrestling Magazine, former WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall discussed a variety of topics, including his goal of working behind the scenes with talent in NXT.
“I think it’s great you have guys like Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE. I was reaching out to Finn before when he was still in New Japan, I was in contact with him. I really am happy for him and all his success and I hope he has a speedy recovery, he’s over like a rock star. Nakamura is another guy who didn’t have to change at all, he’s doing exactly what he did in New Japan, which was over like crazy. Now, he’s in NXT and killing it.
The thing with NXT is now to try and keep the guys in NXT long enough to keep NXT alive. You can’t keep flooding the main roster with these guys, I think it’s a great time to be a young pro wrestler, I’m happy to be involved in wrestling and my goal is to end up in NXT. The best thing for me though is to keep going places and to keep being charming and having my s*** together, because when I’m clear headed my phone rings.”
