SANADA was crowned the winner of the New Japan Cup 2023 during today’s New Japan Cup 2023 Finals event at the Ao-re Nagaoka Arena in Nagaoka, Niigata, Japan, defeating David Finlay in the final of the tournament.

As a result of his victory, SANADA will now face off against Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship as part of NJPW Sakura Genesis 2023 on April 8th.
